Recommendation letters for Scholarship Programs

Tutorial:

The recommendation letter is the most important element of scholarship process. Make sure the person who's writing your recommendation letter knows you well and has an indepth knowldge of your personal and leadership skills. It has the following essesntials


  • the duration for which the referee has known the referred
  • the reason of acquaintance
  • a detailed appraisal of physical and intellecetual qualities and skills related to inter personal and leadership skills

  1. This is the instruction given in the form regarding recommendation latter :
    Two letters of recommendation addressing the following questions:

    In what capacity do you know the applicant?
    Why do you recommend this applicant to ELP?
    In what ways do you think the applicant will contribute to ELP?

    I know Mr/Ms XYZ for the past *** years in the capacity of my student/friend/colleague/employee etc etc

    Recoomendation for some program is on the basis of talent, learning capacity, persevarence, leadership skills, flexibility, and qualities of this kind but with reference to the scholarship requirement

    the thirds question is dependant on context....what does the program require and how can the student applying for it contribute overall? generally they need alumnis and recruits working their cause.... Now as far as my understanding of ELP is I believe it stands for English Language program?

    In that case your fluency and language adaptation skills would be a focus and the contribution that you can offer is to help as an EFL or ESL tutor or do some research aiding enhancement of ESL or EFL learning in students
